If you’re missing out on the sold-out Matt Dinniman event in Altamonte Springs this Sunday, the Orange County Library System is offering two more opportunities to engage with the New York Times bestselling author and his dungeon-delving work.
OCLS will host a virtual author talk with Dinniman on June 11 from 7 to 8 p.m. in partnership with the Library Speakers Consortium. The online event will focus on his latest book, “A Parade of Horribles,” the newest installment in the wildly popular Dungeon Crawler Carl series.
In the new hit LitRPG book, Carl and Donut find themselves on the tenth floor of the dungeon (which is basically a converted Earth; it’s a lot to unpack), competing in a series of races while strange glitches occur with increasing frequency as the foul-mouthed system AI is clearly losing its marbles. Before the online event, OCLS’s Downtown Book Club will meet at the Orlando Public Library to discuss the first book in the series, Dungeon Crawler Carl, on May 20 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The meetup takes place in the Magnolia Room on the third floor, and you need to register HERE to attend.
The book club discussion is open to adults 18 and up.
