Nikki’s Place (Facebook | Website) on Carter Street has been feeding Orlando for over 75 years, and the restaurant is writing a new chapter this summer with the launch of a new menu.
The Parramore staple recently debuted a new lunch menu, headlined by a new Fried Catfish Sandwich — and we got an early taste today. And, well, it’s excellent. The restaurant hosted an exclusive preview last week for community leaders and local supporters, and everyone seemed to have a clean plate at the end of lunch. Especially at our table.
But that’s just the start. Nikki’s is overhauling its full menu in the coming months, with new additions and a more streamlined lineup on the way. We got a peep at an early lunch menu draft, and it featured a new fried chicken sandwich, a smothered chop sandwich, a meatloaf sandwich, and a smothered steak melt.
