Nic & Luc has opened in downtown Orlando, taking over the former Daily Eats space on Pine Street

Nic & Luc (Website), the chef-driven brunch and lunch spot from Chef LeRoy Bautista, has opened at 201 E. Pine Street [GMap] in downtown Orlando, moving into the space previously occupied by Daily Eats. The restaurant is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Bautista’s food background includes 20 years of cooking in New Orleans before moving to Miami, where he ran kitchens at Angelique Euro Café and Il Corso Trattoria in Coral Gables. He later started his own small-batch jam and preserve business, which drew attention from chefs like Jean-Georges Vongerichten and earned a Martha Stewart “American Made” nomination in 2015.

He relocated to Central Florida and opened Nic & Luc’s first location in Longwood in 2018, where Orlando Magazine named it Critic’s Pick for Best Breakfast in 2020. The name comes from his two sons.

The downtown menu features toasts, sandwiches, salads, and brunch staples made with sustainably sourced ingredients, plus house-made pastries and a small market stocked with artisanal pantry goods.
