A new New York-style pizza counter is headed to Curry Ford West called Raine’s Pizzaria (Instagram) at 2401 Curry Ford Road [GMap].
The concept is led by Chef Omar Perez, who has been part of the kitchen team at Gnarly Barley (Instagram) in Ivanhoe Village, and is named after his daughter. It actually formed as a pop-up concept back in June, co-hosted by Gnarly Barley.
According to social media, the new concept will serve pizza by the slice as well as whole pies, ranging from pepperoni to hot garlic, cheese, and white.
An official opening date has not been announced yet, but soft-opening updates are expected soon. Local residents and pizza fans can follow the shop’s social media for updates as the project gets closer to launching.
Leguminati, a popular vegan concept that first operated in the same space, closed its doors permanently on Sunday, August 2025.
