Mount Dora’s Modiste Market returns for its fourth year this weekend

PHOTO VIA MODISTE MARKET

The Modiste Market (Website) returns to the historic Lakeside Inn in Mount Dora this Sunday, June 28, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., for its fourth annual Regency Era-inspired shopping and entertainment event.

Now in its fourth year, the free event invites shoppers from across Central Florida to the inn at 100 N. Alexander Street [GMap] for a day of curated vendor shopping, live music, dance lessons, and themed refreshments served inside and on the veranda. So posh. And there’s plenty of selfie opportunities available throughout the inn’s grounds.

New this year is the Embroidery Salon, sponsored by Gary Sligh Fabric Arts, offering a hands-on experience inspired by the crafts and leisure of the Regency period. The first 100 attendees will also receive a collectible gold charm, the start of what organizers are calling an annual keepsake tradition.

Period attire is encouraged but not required. Free parking is available on-site and at nearby public lots.

Guests staying at the Lakeside Inn can use the code MODISTE for a 20% room discount.

The Modiste Market is produced by Orange Blossom Market Co. (Website), a Central Florida event and vendor market company founded in 2022 by Sheena Willis. Admission is free.
