Longwood’s PostTime Lounge Cafe and Patio announces November closing

PHOTO BY SCOTT W. VIA YELP ORLANDO

PostTime Lounge Café and Patio (Instagram) will close its doors on November 2, bringing an end to a longtime gathering spot known for live music, karaoke nights, and prime middle-aged meat market patio scene. The venue has been a staple for local bands and tribute acts, a reliable stop for pool leagues and dart shooters, and an easygoing place to grab a burger, a beer, and a set of classic rock covers on the weekend.

Owners say the decision follows shifting economics and the increasingly tough landscape for independent venues. In recent years, costs have climbed while competition for entertainment dollars has intensified, making it harder for neighborhood rooms to keep full calendars and affordable prices.

PostTime plans to honor previously booked acts through the closing date, where possible, and expects a packed final stretch, with farewell shows and drop-ins from bands that cut their teeth on its stage. Gift cards and deposits should be used before November 2, and patrons are encouraged to check the venue’s socials for last-minute updates and set times.

The venue is located at 2500 S. US Highway 17 92 [GMap] and has been operating for roughly four decades.
