Colombian band Monsieur Periné (Instagram) brings its Instrucciones Para Ser Feliz Tour to The Beacham (Website) in downtown Orlando on Thursday, October 1, with doors opening at 7 p.m.
Led by Catalina García and Santiago Prieto Sarabia, Monsieur Periné blends pop, jazz, and swing with Latin American rhythms including guaracha, salsa, cumbia, and bolero. Formed in 2007, the band broke through internationally with their 2015 album “Caja de Música,” which earned a Latin GRAMMY for Best New Artist, and has since picked up multiple Latin GRAMMY and GRAMMY nominations, including a 2023 Latin GRAMMY win for Best Alternative Music Album for “Bolero Apocalíptico.”
The Orlando stop comes ahead of the band’s upcoming album, “Instructions to Be Happy,” which includes released singles “Aguaráchate,” “Grande” with Piso 21, and “El avión,” a collaboration with Carlos Vives addressing migration. The tour follows a sold-out show at Carnegie Hall earlier this year and festival appearances at Rock in Rio, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, and Bonnaroo, and more. So get into it.
