Hamlin House social club now open in SoDo

Hamlin House (Website) has officially opened in Orlando’s SoDo neighborhood. It’s a new private social club focused on pickleball, dining, and member events, and it held a ribbon-cutting ceremony this week to welcome members and introduce its leadership team to the community.

Located at 231 W. Grant Street [GMap], membership is offered in two tiers: a Racquet Membership with access to courts, leagues, clinics, and instruction, and a Social Membership aimed at members primarily interested in eating and watching other people do the sports ball. Both options are available for individuals, couples, families, and corporate groups, with applications available through the club’s website.

The club was launched by Ryan and Michelle DeVos, co-owners of Major League Pickleball’s Orlando Squeeze (Website). Hamlin House’s food and beverage program is being developed with Chef John Fraser and JF Restaurants, with dining options that include a full-service restaurant, an all-day café, courtside service, and an outdoor patio.

The name pays tribute to the Hamlin orange, created by A.G. Hamlin, which gained popularity during the Great Florida Freeze of 1895-95 due to its cold-hardiness. Hamlin House was designed by Baker Barrios Architects and is being built by DPR Construction.
