Four of the main actors from The Lord of the Rings films are coming to Orlando next year for a special 25th-anniversary reunion. Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Dominic Monaghan, and Billy Boyd will appear together at MegaCon Orlando (Website) for an event titled An Evening With the Hobbits: In Celebration of 25 Years, which is scheduled to take place on March 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the Orange County Convention Center.
The event will feature the four actors sharing behind-the-scenes stories, memories from filming, and reflections on the impact of The Lord of the Rings over the past two decades. Organizers describe it as a mix of conversation and storytelling rather than a standard convention Q&A. It’s a rare chance for fans to see all four of the former Hobbits together on stage – though real fans probably already follow Monaghan and Boyd’s podcast, “The Friendship Onion.”
The four join an already impressive lineup next year that includes names like Jude Law, Mel Gibson, Millie Bobby Brown, Matt Smith, and Andy Serkis (another former Hobbit of sorts).
Tickets for An Evening With the Hobbits go on sale October 22 at 10 a.m. ET through Fan Expo, and a MegaCon admission pass is required to attend.
