Elijah Wood is in Orlando for MegaCon, appearing Saturday and Sunday at the Orange County Convention Center as part of a Lord of the Rings 25th anniversary reunion with his Hobbit posse Sean Astin, that fool of a Took, Dominic Monaghan, and Billy Boyd. Fans can catch photo ops, autographs, and panel appearances across the weekend, if they’re into that sort of thing.
After the convention nerds go to bed, clutching their lembas bread, Wood is heading downtown. On Sunday night, March 22, he’ll be at The Vanguard at 578 N. Orange Avenue [GMap] for a DJ set with his project Wooden Wisdom, the duo he runs alongside music supervisor Zach Cowie. Their sets pull from a wide vinyl collection spanning acid rock, African funk, and plenty of things in between. Doors are at 8 p.m. The show is 18 and up.
