Crealdé School of Art (Website) will bring back its annual Cup-A-Thon on Friday, August 7, and Saturday, August 8, at its main campus at 600 Saint Andrews Boulevard [GMap] in Winter Park. The event is free and open to the public.
In its 42nd year, the Cup-A-Thon is a pottery sale and social gathering hosted by senior faculty member Vincent Sansone, who has run the event for nearly four decades. It features hundreds of handmade ceramic cups, bowls, and vessels made by Crealdé instructors, artists, students, and friends that are all available for purchase. And if you buy a cup or goblet, it gets filled with a complimentary refreshment.
New this year is Pottery Ping Pong, a daytime game where participants get three chances to land a ping-pong ball in a ceramic piece. Make it in, and you take the pottery home.
Proceeds support upgrades to the ceramics studio and kilns. Free parking is available on site.
