The Clermont Police Department (Website) is offering a $1,000 reward for tips that lead to the arrest of Alison Lawrence, who was charged with animal cruelty after allegedly killing her dog in the bathroom of the Orlando International Airport. That reward is now being matched by In Defense of Animals (Website), with another $1,000 as well.
Lawrence allegedly drowned her dog, Tywinn, in an airport bathroom after being denied entry to an international flight due to improper paperwork that she needed in order to travel with a dog. A necropsy conducted by a veterinarian at the University of Florida confirmed the dog had drowned.

Lawrence left the dog’s items in the bathroom, including dog gear, a collar, a rabies tag, a companion vest, and dog travel bag, which helped to identify her.
Lawrence was arrested by the Lake County Sheriff’s Department, but resided in the jurisdiction of the Clermont Police. She was charged with aggravated animal cruelty and tampering with evidence but failed to appear in court on September 5, and a warrant has been issued for her arrest.
