As announced on social media this weekend, Chef Jes Tantalo (Instagram) will depart Redlight Redlight (Instagram) at the end of January, as she prepares to relocate to North Carolina, marking the closure of a significant chapter for the Audubon Park brewpub.

“This decision comes with mixed emotions,” said Chef Jes. “Orlando is home to some of the most meaningful years of my life and some of my absolute favorite people.  I’m lucky to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.  Immense gratitude goes out to Brent, Erica, and the whole team, past and present at Redlight for years of support.”

Tantalo became Redlight Redlight’s first in-house chef at a time when the longtime brewery was navigating major uncertainty during the pandemic. Although Redlight had operated for nearly 18 years without a kitchen, her arrival helped transform it into a food destination alongside its well-established beer program.

In its announcement, Redlight credited Tantalo with pushing the business to grow and helping shape what it has become today. You can read the full statement below.

Redlight Redlight says it plans to continue offering the same level of quality, creativity, and hospitality that guests have come to expect and has begun searching for a new chef or kitchen manager to lead the next phase of its food program. and is accepting inquiries and resumes via redlight.redlight@gmail.com.

Tantalo’s final days at Redlight Redlight will be at the end of January, and the brewery is encouraging guests to visit before she leaves.
