A woman was arrested after deputies say she took $251 worth of baked goods from an honor-system bake stand in Brevard County, according to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.
Surveillance video from the stand, Little Flour Crumbs Micro Bakery (Instagram), shows the woman removing the items without paying around 11:08 a.m. on October 3.
The sheriff’s office identified the accused as Argentina Thomason. Deputies say the stolen goods included 40 cookies, six banana breads, seven mini loaves of bread and five cinnamon rolls, which total 58 items.
Deputies say she left in a gray Ford Focus. Later that day, a deputy found the unoccupied car outside a nearby shopping plaza, according to FOX 35. Deputies then located the woman inside a retail store. The station reported she is the vehicle’s registered owner and was wearing the same outfit seen in the surveillance video. She was arrested and taken to the Brevard County Jail Complex.
The reports did not list the charges. Authorities have not disclosed a motive, and it is not clear whether any of the goods were recovered.
