Black Rooster Taqueria (Website) is marking its 10th anniversary with a weeklong celebration starting Tuesday, February 24, featuring daily specials, limited-edition merchandise, and a community kickoff event.
The Mills 50 taqueria has earned recognition as “Best Tacos” for three consecutive years in the Orlando Sentinel’s Foodie Awards and has been featured twice in The New York Times‘ “36 Hours in Orlando” since opening in 2016. The restaurant has also appeared in the Michelin Guide every year since 2022.
“Ten years in business is something we don’t take lightly,” said chef John Calloway, who owns the restaurant with his wife Juliana. “We are incredibly grateful to our guests, team members, and community partners who have supported us along the way.”
Anniversary week specials will run daily throughout the week. Tuesday offers any two tacos and a queso or salsa for $10. Wednesday features Buy 2, Get 1 Free Taco all day. Thursday will have $2.26 margaritas, and Friday will feature a free guac card for every guest.
The first 10 guests at lunch and the first 10 at dinner each day who ask for a keychain will receive a limited-edition 10th Anniversary Keychain while supplies last. The keychain provides 10 percent off all year when presented in-store.
Black Rooster partnered with local graphic designer Jason Farmand and Orlando-based Impress Ink to create limited-edition, jersey-style 10-Year Anniversary shirts available for purchase all week. The shirts will not be reproduced after the celebration ends.
