Bike/Walk Central Florida (Website) is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its annual BIKE 5 fundraising ride on Saturday, October 17, starting and finishing at Mead Botanical Garden in Winter Park.
This year’s event will offer two routes: a 10-mile option and a signature 30-mile ride that winds through five Central Florida cities: Orlando, Winter Park, Eatonville, Maitland, and Casselberry. The longer route is designed to showcase the region’s growing network of trails, bike lanes, and connected cycling infrastructure (but still in the relative safety of a large group).
After the ride, participants gather for a community celebration with food, drinks, and raffle prizes from local businesses.
