Alicia Keys’ “Hell’s Kitchen” is at Dr. Phillips Center through Sunday

Hell’s Kitchen, the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical created and inspired by Alicia Keys, is onstage now at the Walt Disney Theater at Dr. Phillips Center through March 8.

The show follows Ali, a teen based on Keys herself, coming of age in the Manhattan neighborhood of Hell’s Kitchen in the 1990s. Ali dreams of becoming a musician while clashing with a mother who doesn’t understand her, until a chance encounter with a street drummer opens her eyes to the sounds of the city and helps her find her voice.

The musical features songs from Keys’ catalog, including “If I Ain’t Got You,” “Girl on Fire,” “Fallin’,” and “Empire State of Mind,” alongside three new songs written exclusively for the show: “The River,” “Seventeen,” and “Kaleidoscope.” The show is directed by Michael Greif (Rent, Dear Evan Hansen) with choreography by Camille A. Brown.

Performances run through Sunday with showtimes varying by day. The run time is 2 hours and 35 minutes with an intermission. Tickets start at $162 and are available HERE for purchase.
