Lafayette & Rushford (Instagram | Facebook), a super cool retail shop in Baldwin Park, has temporarily closed after a water leak from an upstairs apartment caused significant damage to the store.
Owners Kristen and Paul shared Monday that the leak caused part of the ceiling to collapse, leaving the shop with damage that will require replacing ceiling tiles along with additional repairs and cleaning. They expect the closure to last several weeks.
The shop plans to continue selling merchandise during repairs, using its Instagram to share available inventory and purchasing instructions.
“We so appreciate each and every one of you and look forward to welcoming you back soon,” the owners said.
Lafayette & Rushford is located at 4876 New Broad Street [GMap] next to Tactical Brewing and features a rotating series of window displays created by the owners. A reopening date has not yet been announced. Look for more updates on Instagram, including featured items you can purchase to support them during this tough time.
