Clemons Produce (Facebook), a family-owned produce market on Curry Ford Road, announced on Facebook that it will close permanently on August 31.

“THANK YOU to all the customers who have supported us over the decades,” the store wrote in its announcement. According to the post, all produce and grocery items will be sold at 25 percent off through the closing date, excluding bakery items like bagels, banana bread, and sliced bread. The store said fixtures, shelving, coolers, freezers, sinks and other equipment are also for sale, with customers directed to speak with management about those items.

Clemons Produce, located at 3325 Curry Ford Road [GMap], has served Central Florida since 1970. The store built a following for its vine-ripened tomatoes, locally sourced fruits and vegetables, and an Amish deli offering homemade breads, deli meats and cheese curds. Reviewers have often noted the owner’s ability to tell customers exactly where their produce came from.

The building recently sold to new owners.
