Enzian Theater (Website) in Maitland is hosting a one-night-only event Friday, June 19, at 9 p.m. that combines The Wizard of Oz and Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon.
And while stoners have been enjoying the pair-up for decades, The Dark Side of the Rainbow pairs the 1939 film with a live performance of the classic 1973 album, synchronized in real time by Central Florida tribute band Ultimate Floyd (Website). The two completely unrelated pieces somehow line up perfectly (if you don’t believe me, wait until Dorothy opens that door to Munchkinland), and I can’t help but imagine that it is even better with a live band and food service.
Tickets have sold out, but you can still get on the standby list.
