Yelp’s annual community party is returning to the Orlando Science Center on Wednesday, March 4, with proceeds benefiting the host venue. The event will run from 7 to 9 p.m., with a VIP Yelp Elite hour from 6 to 7 p.m., and has a fairytale-and-botanical theme this year: “Flora and Fables.”
This year’s nonprofit partner is the Orlando Science Center, and organizers say a suggested minimum donation of $25 per person will be collected at the door, with 100 percent of proceeds going to the Science Center. Yelp says it has raised nearly $200,000 for the organization over the past several years. The party is 21 and older only, with IDs checked at entry, and there are no plus-ones. Each attendee must RSVP individually through Yelp with a completed profile that includes a real name and a clear face photo. RSVP does not guarantee entry; Yelp says confirmation emails titled “YOU’RE IN,” and waitlist notices will be sent on Monday, February 24, and the system prioritizes local Orlando-area users with recent Yelp activity, so go hype up some of your favorite local businesses if you want to qualify.
Attendees are encouraged to wear floral and botanical prints with folklore and fairytale vibes. The vendor list will feature “enchanted eats” from local favorites like Bang Bang Bakehouse, Cafe Tu Tu Tango, Di Vilma Cinnamon Rolls, EET by Maneet Chauhan, Hawkers Asian Street Food, Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream, The Glass Knife, and Seana’s Soul Food, among many others. Drinks and “elixirs” will be provided by local brands like Ivanhoe Park Brewing, Kaya’s Bayani Bar, Zymarium Meadery, and Forward/Slash, which is also hosting an informal after-party at its Winter Park distillery for guests who want to keep the fun going.
The entertainment and photo-ops lineup includes DJ Nigel John, The New Romantics, The Danger Booth, The Henna Studio, and multiple creators like Sticker Print Go, Not Another Film Lab, and Mosaic Hair Studio.
