A Freeze Warning has been issued for parts of Central Florida tonight, with temperatures expected to drop to 31 degrees in some inland areas early Wednesday morning, according to the National Weather Service. A Cold Weather Advisory is also in effect, with wind chills expected to fall as low as 26 degrees.

The warnings cover Inland Volusia County, Northern Lake County, and Southern Lake County. Both the Freeze Warning and Cold Weather Advisory are in effect from 1 a.m. to 9 a.m. Wednesday.
The National Weather Service warns that frost and freezing conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation and may also damage unprotected outdoor plumbing. Officials also note that wind chills in the mid-20s can be hazardous for people who are outside without adequate warmth or shelter.
Residents in the affected areas are advised to bring pets indoors, check on elderly neighbors and family members, and use space heaters safely.
