New wine window in the works for Thornton Park

A new wine-tasting lounge called Voyage Wine Tasting Room is coming soon to Thornton Park, taking over a former juice bar space at 898 East Washington Street [GMap]. The concept was approved by the City of Orlando’s Municipal Planning Board in September, with a Conditional Use Permit allowing the business to operate within 1,000 feet of Howard Middle School.

Voyage will occupy a 495 SF ground-floor corner space in the Thornton Place Townhomes development. The tasting room will feature a seven-seat counter and an emphasis on boutique wines sourced from small collectives. Plans call for an upscale yet neighborhood-focused setting offering a coffee and tea program in the mornings, with wine service beginning each day at 4 p.m

The proposed hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and 7 a.m. to midnight on Sundays. According to city staff, the project aligns with Thornton Park’s mixed-use character and contributes to the neighborhood’s reputation as a destination for walkable, small-scale dining and nightlife.

Voyage is expected to open later this year following build-out and licensing approvals.
