Weezer (Website) brought The Gathering Tour to the Kia Center on Sunday night, October 11, with The Shins (Website) and Silversun Pickups (Website) opening the arena show.
The Gathering Tour is a 32-city North American arena run that began September 8 in Sacramento and ends October 24 in Los Angeles. Orlando was the first of three Florida stops, followed by Sunrise on October 13 and Tampa on October 14.
The tour comes as Weezer rolls out its 16th studio album, its first on Reprise/Warner Records and its first full-length since “Van Weezer” in 2021. The lead single, “Shine Again,” was released ahead of the tour.
Orlando Shine first reported on the stop in March, when the tour was announced.
Silversun Pickups started the night, followed by The Shins, then Weezer headlining. Orlando Shine photographer Cole Ditzel (Instagram | Website) was there to photograph all three sets. Photos by Cole Ditzel are below.
